Punu masks have a saurian scale pattern imitating scales of the alligator. Punu society was matre-lineal. Meaning people knew their mothers but rarely their fathers.

This passport size body mask was made for decoration. We purchased it on our trip to the border of Uganda and Kongo Democratic Republic.
